Young Entrepreneurs Forum for Hong Kong, Macao Taiwan and the Chinese Mainland
The “Young Entrepreneurs Forum for Hong Kong, Macao Taiwan and the Chinese Mainland”, held today at the Macao Tower today featuring the theme “New Developments and Opportunities in Cross-Taiwan Strait Economic Cooperation”.
Officials, entrepreneurs and academics from the Mainland, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao discussed in depth on subjects such as infrastructures, policies, human resources and cross-Taiwan Strait transportation under the theme.
In the first session of the forum, the Chairman of The Chamber of Tourism of the All-China Federation Of Industry & Commerce, Ms Wang Ping said that building the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge would definitely benefit the three cities and the project must proceed with great care for humanity, the environment, cultural heritages and the benefits of all sides involved.
The Chief of the Gaming Research Centre of the University of Macao, Mr Fong Ka Chio said that the bridge will definitely brings more tourists to Macao, which is necessary for the development of the gaming industry in Macao, however, for Hong Kong and the Pearl River Delta, it was the great logistic capability of the bridge that was anticipated.
Other speakers included the Vice-President of Lingnan University in Hong Kong, Prof NYAW Mee-Kau, assistant professor of the Macao University of Science and Technology, Mr Wang Guihai.
The Secretary for Economy and Finance, Mr Tam Pak Yuen, Deputy Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the MSAR, Mr Xu Ze, Among other guests, presides over the opening session of the forum.
