The Great Opportunities of Negotiation between China and Portuguese Speaking Countries

“The Great Opportunities of Negotiation between China and Portuguese Speaking Countries ”, organized by the International Lusophone Markets Business Association, was held today at 11:00 at Macao Convention & Entertainment Centre.

Executive committee member of the Macao SAR Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) Ms Chan Keng Hong, Co-ordinator of the Supporting Office to the Secretariat of China and Portuguese - Speaking Countries Economic Cooperation Forum (Macao) (GASPF) ), Ms Rita Santos, representatives from Brazil, Portugal, Mozambique, Cape Verde, Angola, East Timor and Guine-Bissau have attended the meeting.

Chan Keng Hong said in her speech that in accordance with the close relationship between Macao and Portuguese Speaking Countries, IPIM had strived to develop Macao into a cross-regional business platform; in addition, an agreement had been signed between the Mainland, Macao and Portuguese Speaking Countries to hold annual meeting to enhance communication. Moreover, IPIM had set up a database so entrepreneurs from China and Portuguese Speaking Countries could retrieve necessary information in Chinese, English and Portuguese so as to meet the right business partner.

Rita Santos highlighted the advantages of Macao as an ideal trading center and the representatives of the seven Portuguese-speaking countries presented the investment and economic environment of their countries respectively.
