Exhibition for Facilities and Products of International Hotel will be held in November in Macao

The International Hotel Equipment and Products Exhibition was scheduled at 23rd November to 25th November in Macao. The organizers, Hai Feng International Exhibition Limited, and the co-organizer, ANL International Exhibition Limited signed the contract of cooperation today at 17:00 in the Macao Tower Convention and Entertainment Centre.

The exhibition, supported by Macao Convention & Exhibition Association, Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute, Macao Hotel Association, Macao Tourism Association and Macao Food & Beverage Federation. Organized by the Macao Convention & Exhibition Association and Hai Feng International Exhibition Limited, will be held on the 2nd floor of Macao Tower Convention and Entertainment Centre.

The organizer and co-organizer said that the tourism of Macao was developing rapidly since the liberalization of gaming industry in 2001, with tourist arrivals increased from less than 12 millions in 2003 to over 16 millions in 2004. However, number of hotel rooms remained at 10,502, which is far less than the demand in the market. With this phenomenon, many constructions of hotel project have been launched. According to update information, there will be 29 new hotels providing 11,298 more rooms within two years; which will double the current supply. This growth in hotel rooms, together with renovations and upgrading in the exiting 20 hotels will increase the demand for new facilities and products. The aim of the exhibition is to meet the demand of the market.
