Showcasing
Macao-Centre of Regional Business
Opportunities |
As Macao has opened up its gaming sector and
its investment environment is constantly being improved, it is becoming
more and more attractive to investors. In 2002, foreign investment
showed a significant increase and became more diversified. Macao
showed the rest of the world its unlimited potential for business
opportunities.
In recent years, the MSAR Government has been putting
a lot of effort into international economic co-operation, in order
to turn Macao into an economic and trade service platform to connect
Mainland China and Portuguese-speaking countries; west Guangdong;
the greater China region, overseas Chinese traders and the global
market.

To
Build on Past Successes & Create a Well-known
Tradeshow
of International Standing |
MIF is the largest international trade fair held
in Macao, and has created its own name and influence in Guangdong,
Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan and other places around the world.
Last year, the 7th MIF attracted 44
delegations from more than 10 countries and over 70 thousand visitors
attended the Fair. A total of 32 seminars/forums, presentations
and business talks were held concurrently with the exhibition. There
were 220 business projects being matched during the Fair and the
number of contracts and tentative contracts signed were 33, with
contractual values reaching MOP580 million.
Based on past experiences the 8th MIF
will have a larger exhibition space, invite more international exhibitors
and buyers, and facilitate more transactions.
|
Enlarged
Channels for Promotion and More
Efficacious
Organisation |
Visitors of previous MIFs will be
invited to this year's event. On top of which , we shall, through
trade associations, chambers of commerce, consulates in HK, investment
promotion networks worldwide and the media, invite buyers and trade
visitors to the 8th MIF. |

A
Substantial, International and Effective Tradeshow |
1. State-of-the-Art
Venue
The Macao Tower Convention & Entertainment Centre
- one of Macao's major landmarks, is an ideal exhibition venue.
The world class exhibition and convention facilities guarantee a
good business atmosphere.
2. Business-matching
and Trade Talks
Information on various co-operation projects will
be gathered before the Fair and matching services among potential
investors will be provided as it progresses. All projects will be
classified by industries, so that project-owners and investors can
conduct on-site business match-making. Also a contract-singing centre
will be established to allow easy access for media to report.
3. Forums, Seminars
and Presentations
Apart from the trade show, a series of forums, conferences,
seminars and workshops will be held during the Fair. It has been
noted from previous MIF's that exhibitors are enthusiastic about
the product and regional briefings.
